#57204 The Impending Registration Requirement

Posted by jh03 on 15 December 2013 - 06:19 PM

Honestly, when you went to BN 2.0 a couple years back, I registered then and just kind of assumed that everyone did, too.

I'm a fan of the requirement, if only because it makes me feel all early-adopter-superior-like.  Because I need more of that.

I hope you have to re-register due to some unforeseen error.

#56544 Technology Humps

I don't worry about technology obsolescence, then again, I buy the model that is outgoing (as evidenced by my recently purchased Note 2).

You Can't Predict Baseball and You Can Predict Baseball are two pretty good accounts.

I'm having the hardest time finding these two accounts. The closest I can come is Can't Predict Ball.

I recommend going to someone elses page (like somebody from this site) and going through who they follow and just follow any baseball handles that look good. You'll be able to weed out the ones you don't like eventually.

Do *NOT* use my following list as a template.

Unless you like pics of sexy women wearing marijuana leaf bikinis while watching Star Wars movies and building Lego sets, that is.

((*sigh* … Now I'm wishing that twitter account actually existed…)

Did you try putting that into the search bar? It might be out there.

#55519 Something to Keep You Busy in the Offseason

I get that, but he wants to predict a score too.

I suspect that if a formula was devised that could successfully predict scores from sports events that the creator of said formula would be very, very interested in making sure that no one knew what it was.

Lol, that's what I was thinking. I think he thinks this is an actual thing stats people do.

#54080 The Cubs played my home town team. For real.

Man, I wish more stuff like that happened now! Although, could you imagine what would happen if Mike Trout or Miggy just went to random towns and played baseball?! It probably wouldn't be safe for them...

By the way, when I coach against the Cubs and win, I will instantly throw that in all of your faces and declare victory in all arguments on the site. Trump card.

#47736 Did I hear Theo right?

Posted by jh03 on 12 June 2013 - 06:53 AM

While I was watching the pregame yesterday, and they were talking about Ian Stewart's tweets, I swear Theo said something along the lines of, "We're getting the second most production out of third basemen in the league."

I know Valbuena has been pretty good, and Cody Ransom has played better than most thought he would, in the platoon role, but I had to have misheard that, right?

If I didn't mishear him, how is he getting those numbers? I know that Front Offices' have their own numbers and systems of ranking guys... so maybe they have some stat that combines offense/defense/who knows and they reached that conclusion?
