Nice, do they come in male styles

Those are the male versions!

I only hope that he gets the Mrs. a pair of those shoes as well, could be shoe envy.

The quoting system on this site makes things really hilarious after a while, when the quote covers more than 2 decent sized past posts. Kinda sad when a large quantity of a page is taken up by quotes from previous posts under the same title. Seems redundant.

Aren't quotes redundant by nature?

#36306 Spring Training

So all we heard about Valbuena through the winter was how well he was hitting. What do you think the odds of him being our opening day starter at 3rd base are? I only ask because honestly, Stewart is hurt already? I like Stewart and have always thought he could be great, but I honestly am starting to believe the guy is some kind of hypochondriac. All that aside, Valbuena seems to have found his hitting eye, no?

Ian Stewart: Oh, my arm, I think it's broken!

Curious what you definitions of "our" player? If you mean players we drafted and developed then say goodbye to Sandberg, Dawson, Sosa and the majority of the best players we've had since the FA era. Would you rather we kept Theriot, Pie, Patterson etc. Come on man!

Hey, you can't have enough Pie in your life MG. :D

I agree that there should be some sort of loyalty when it comes to players. However, I am not going to shoot myself in the foot by saying that I wouldn't pick up some one from a rival team just because of the team loyalty, especially if the player is really good. That is insane.

Hahaha, wow. I didn't know what to think when I saw that heading!

That would be one helluva starting rotation, that is if we could get Appel to sign with us for a fair price. Would love to be a fly on the wall when that negotiation happens. ;)

Nice. I don't know about adding Garza though. Seems like we would be giving too much.

#35200 Top 5 Matt Garza return packages.

I don't see the Padres or Rockies being strongly interested in Garza. I like the idea of Matt Barnes from Boston and Olt and Perez from Texas.

Also, seeing the Mets just sign Wright to a long-term deal, I wonder how much it would be to get Wilmer Flores. I know the Mets desperately need outfield help and wonder if DeJesus/Soriano could possibly bring him here. Then possibly flip Garza focusing mainly on pitching.

Sounds great didn't even think about the Mets. Wilmer Flores often called the next Miguel Cabrera (stretch) and Jeurys Familia would be a great return. Thanks

Jeez, post the same comment four times? That is one way to make yourself look popular. :D

I am for the Texas package. Getting Olt alone for Garza after all the injury scare would be considered a win for me, if we get anyone else with that, wow. I wouldn't mind trading with Boston because Theo is still very familiar with the farm system, so that could work out. So yeah, Texas first, then Boston.

If Vogelbach is said to be a future regular, it won't be at 1B. I still think that it is likely that the Cubs will trade him before 2016, especially if Rizzo continues to own.

#34316 3 team trade Rangers, Marlins and Cubs

I want Olt though. I am wary of Turner. But nice idea overall though.

#34231 Any big moves?

Posted by calicubsfan007 on 28 December 2012 - 02:37 PM

I would just say not to touch Upton, he would cost too much and I am pretty sure he still doesn't want to come here. Unless he changed his NTC teams. I really am on the boat of trying to get a solid prospect for Sori. His value can't be any higher atm.
