Darvish has the same decision to make and everyone thought he was originally leaning to coming over. At that time i read some arcticles from over that the pressure he is facing to sign with a team in Japan is tremendous. the real question is how his family feels on the subject also, ie.e are they also adding pressure to stay.

it is going to be an interesting case to keep an eye on because depending on how it turns out contract wise if he comes over, will depend on if other players his age are going to be willing to make the jump.

lookin at the 2013 FA class posted on MLBTR there is not much in the way of position players, unless the Yankees have a brain fart and let Cano/Granderson hit FA or you are in on BJ Upton ro Victorino. So all those open spots will need to be filled by the minors and or trades.

Maybe we can come in first place for the draft 2 years in a row?

Let's not forget that we have already signed Jorge Soler to a deal. There is another Outfielder to add to the lineup.

Also i am sure the Garza to the tigers for Castellentos (yeah i probably spelled it incorrectly but trying to post between a meeting) and some arms will heat up if the Tigers are in the thick of it.

If the 3 arms are off the board i would prefer they not take Almora, we need another OFer in the system like we need a hole in the head. Would love to see them grab Giolito at that spot.

The only bad part of this trade, imo, is that the cubs are now viewed to have to pay the majority of the salary for anyone they trade. Certain guys, yeah i get it, but everyone?
