RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication.” I’m not positive I completely understand it, myself, but that doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy its benefits. Basically, it’s a way to have entries from your favorite blogs all over the Internet sent to a single place, so you can read them all together at your leisure. That way, you just open your “feed reader,” and it will show you all the blog articles you want to read, without having to go to each blog to find out if it has been updated. As soon as a new post goes up – *boom* – it’s sent to your feed reader or emailed to you, if you prefer.
Wikipedia gives some more of the technical details here. To find a feed reader, check out a list here. Google and Yahoo! have pretty good ones.
