Starlin Castro hasn’t had a great year so far, but he’s certainly had a number of great moments.
That includes a critical, and massive, home run on Friday, and then, of course, the walk-off single last night:
Gotta love Jonathan Herrera sporting the now-obligatory bubblegum bucket hat.
I like that there was no messing around about not sending Kris Bryant in that situation, even with no outs. Bryant has good speed, the outfield was wet, and Billy Hamilton does not have a cannon. Thus, even though Castro’s liner was a rocket that got right to Hamilton, Bryant still scored easily. Cubs win. Cubs win. Cubs. win.
