Ugh. I hate admitting this.
For the most part, I find virtually any reference to the Chicago Cubs’ World Series drought, whether from a Cubs-related entity or a lazy antagonist, to be incredibly tedious. They’re usually just so very un-clever:

If you click through to see for yourself, you’ll see that the entire page is a write up of the Mets’ NLCS win over the Cubs as if it were written back in 1908. It’s attentive, thorough, and well-done. And it’s decidedly clever, too.
It makes me sad to admit, but it was good.
