Pre-NLDS-Gamin’: Nationals at Cubs (3:08 CT) – Lineups, Broadcast Info, Game Thread

I’m a little antsy today.

I know the Cubs split in Washington and are facing a (possibly? maybe?) not 100% Max Scherzer, but the frustration of a late-loss Saturday and a long Cubs-less Sunday is getting to me – even with an early game this afternoon.

Indeed, the Cubs are facing Max Scherzer later today, after he was pushed back to Game 3 with hamstring issues dating back to his last start of the regular season. Word is he’s ready to go and was “skipping around” yesterday, but even if he’s thinking about that landing leg too much, the Cubs might get a the tiniest advantage. We’ll see.

Of course, Jose Quintana is squaring up against him and he’s been quite dominate in the second-half and especially in September, as we discussed earlier. Hopefully, he picks back up exactly where he left off in his postseason debut at Wrigley Field.

Win today and you can clinch it at Wrigley tomorrow – lose, and, well, tomorrow becomes a lot more scary.
