Spring Training Miscellany: Cubs Announce Single Game Tickets, Mound Debuts, El Mago, More

Chicago Cubs News

With the start of Spring Training, we also get word on the Cubs’ single game ticket sale. The general sale is next Friday, February 23 at 10 am CT, with the annual MasterCard pre-sale the two days prior. Per the Cubs, the pre-sale starts Tuesday, February 20, at noon CT and ends Wednesday, February 21, at 11:59 p.m. CT. “During this opportunity, tickets will be available for a 15 percent premium when using a MasterCard, or a 20 percent premium when using other forms of payment.”

If you decide to wait and use the secondary market, make sure you head over to StubHub via the links here at BN, which supports us in the process.

The Cubs Productions crew sent out a great video from yesterday’s first full workout for pitchers and catchers:

  • Today, the Cubs got after it again today, and it wasn’t just the pitchers and catchers:

  • Javy’s glove now says it all:

  • Yu Darvish threw his first bullpen as a Cub:

  • As Crull notes, Darvish was throwing with Willson Contreras. Notable, to me, that he didn’t just immediately pair up with Chris Gimenez. Also, heh:

  • Tyler Chatwood and Steve Cishek also throwing for the first time as Cubs:
