After waiting out the arrival of the rain, and then the rain itself, the Cubs and Dodgers weren’t able to get this one off, thanks in part to power outages.
Tonight’s game has been postponed due to a limited power outage in the ballpark affecting the operation of lights in right field and the forecast for continued rain in the area.
The game will be made up tomorrow, June 19, as the first game of a split doubleheader at 12:05 p.m. pic.twitter.com/PP9V9AN4N2

No one wanted to do a doubleheader on a getaway day on Wednesday, so this is probably the preferable outcome, assuming tonight’s game couldn’t happen as scheduled.
I’m wondering if we’ll see Tyler Chatwood and Mike Montgomery tomorrow, as scheduled. If the Cubs do that, it’s going to cause a bit of a problem in four days, as the Cubs don’t have an off-day ahead. In other words, the Cubs may need a fill-in starter later this week if they don’t use one tomorrow.
The Cubs will get a 26th man tomorrow, though they’ve already brought up Rob Zastryzny (with Brian Duensing going on the bereavement list), so I’m not sure who would be available and ready to get to Wrigley by noon tomorrow. Someone might be driving/flying overnight.
