That’s bad, folks. That’s a bad outcome against a bad team, after a bad loss last night. It can and does happen in every season, obviously, but that doesn’t put it beyond our frustration in the moment. And I’m a bit hacked off right now, amigos.
For the second straight night …
- The Cubs blew a two-run lead in the second half of the game thanks to a starting pitcher crumbling the third time through the order.
- The Cubs failed to do much against a starting pitcher who has been brutally bad this year.
- The Cubs’ bullpen gave up additional runs to make a comeback less plausible.
- The Cubs screwed up repeatedly in the field (OK, maybe that one was mostly tonight).
Have yourself a swell Friday night!
