Earlier today, the Chicago Cubs activated Kris Bryant off the disabled list, which he was on thanks to a sore shoulder that may have been sapping the power right out of his bat in the early-mid parts of the season.
And although I can’t say we were without concerns that the power would still take time to return as recently as this morning, Kris Bryant put those thoughts to rest with a monster blast off Johnny Cueto just moments ago:
Welcome back, Kris Bryant!

According to statcast, that homer, Bryant’s 10th, traveled 409 feet and was 103 MPH off the bat.

He’s got a many more long balls to hit before the season is over, but I’m sure he’s happy to get that first one after the injury break out of the way. Welcome back, Bryant. Welcome back.
P.S. It’s hard not to love (and laugh at) the Johnny Cueto “pop-up!” finger point. Nice try, bud, but it was a little further than that.
