Chicago Cubs Lineup: The Five-Game Series Finale!

Cubs Lineups

We’e come to the end of this prolonged five-game series against the Cardinals and the thing is all tied up. Winner of today win’s the weekend. Here’s the Cubs.

Chicago Cubs Lineup:

  1. Anthony Rizzo, 1B
  2. Kris Bryant, 3B
  3. Jason Heyward, RF
  4. Javy Baez, 2B
  5. Ian Happ, CF
  6. Kyle Schwarber, LF
  7. Willson Contreras, C
  8. Addison Russell, SS
  9. Jose Quintana, P

Joe Maddon isn’t messing around this afternoon, and is rolling with an all-regulars against Miles Mikolas. There’s nothing particularly fancy or unexpected about this group, with the exception, perhaps, of Ian Happ in center field instead of Albert Almora, but when you take a peek at Mikolas’ splits (.214 wOBA v. righties), it makes plenty of sense.

Now, lefties aren’t exactly killing him this year (.297 wOBA) – Mikolas has proven a very good pickup for the Cardinals – but they should have the upper hand today. So the Cubs will need guys like Anthony Rizzo, Jason Heyward, and Kyle Schwarber to really carry the team offensively.

Win the game today and you win the series! As usual, we’ll have your full Pre-Gamin’ closer to game time (1:20 CT).
