Before the start of today’s game, the Chicago Cubs had been shutout by the Milwaukee Brewers for three straight games – that’s 27 freakin’ innings of no runs scored.

But the world’s greatest cleanup hitter, Anthony Rizzo, ended that streak with one swing of the bat. Check it out:

That was Rizzo’s 18th homer of the season and while it may have only just barely gotten out (368 feet), it left in a hurry (102 MPH) and counts all the same. The Cubs are off to a good start, now let’s see if Kyle Hendricks can hold the lead.
