Kyle Schwarber Yanks a Shot to Give the Cubs an Early Lead (VIDEO)

It’s another early solo homer for the Cubs tonight, which means they’re totally going to win again 1-0. (This joke is probably no longer accurate by the time you’re reading this.)

Tonight’s blast came from Kyle Schwarber:

That wasn’t a monster shot – just 93.1 mph off the bat, and 346 feet – but they don’t all have to be. This isn’t the Home Run Derby.

That was just Schwarber’s second homer of the month, but you may recall a couple shots this month that turned into surprising outs. That is to say, Schwarber is actually striking the ball much better lately than it might seem:

After homer 21 for Schwarber, he’s hitting .244/.359/.468 (116 wRC+) on the season. His teammates were very excited for that one:
