Marcell Ozuna Hits the TOP of the Foul Pole

Baseball Is Fun

I’m not sure this got sufficient attention during the regular season. Having a home run hit the foul pole is not really a matter of skill so much as it is a matter of hitting a pitch far down the line (that’s the only real skill part), and having it fluke into hitting the pole.

But hitting a home run that hits on top of the foul pole? OK, that’s still mostly a fluke, but it’s a crazy awesome fluke:

You could try that 1,000 times and you wouldn’t succeed. I mean, a big leaguer might. But you wouldn’t.

It wasn’t a great year for Marcell Ozuna, but no one can take that one away.
