Randy Johnson was an absurdly good MLB pitcher, posting nine seasons worth at least 7.0 WAR, who saw much of his success in the later years of his career.
Bryce Harper is an absurdly good MLB position player, fresh off a 9.5 WAR season, and already seeing huge success at a tender young age.
Randy Johnson is also enormous. Bryce Harper, at 6’3″, is also quite large. But when the two met at the Fiesta Bowl this weekend, you really couldn’t tell that Harper could squish me like a bug, because he looks downright petite by comparison:
The picture is also just begging for a caption. Why is Harper cracking up? Why does Johnson sport a knowing smile? Did Randy tell Bryce he couldn’t hit his fastball?
Have at it.
