To be sure, I am an unapologetic Chicago Cubs fan. And, generally speaking, I like the Cubs’ various logos through the years (big fan of this one, and also this classic). Even the very basic “C” logo is solid.
But none of the Cubs logos are my literal favorite baseball logo.
That distinction belongs to the classic Milwaukee Brewers ball-and-glove logo, cleverly made out of an “m” and a “b”, which was always so simultaneously aesthetically pleasing and baseball-centric that it just struck me as perfect. Although it would show up in throwback-type situations over the past few years, it was not a regular part of the Brewers’ attire. Which was insane.
BUT IT’S COMING BACK! The Brewers just announced these alternates for 2016:

Gorgeous. The Brewers will wear these most Sundays, both at home and on the road. That’s a huge upgrade from the two or three times per year we would be blessed by the logo previously.
The Brewers are in the middle of a rebuild, will likely sell off additional pieces this year, and are probably going to lose a ton of games. But when they don the alternate cap, they’re gonna lose in so much style.
