Dilson Herrera Ties the Game in the 9th Inning with an Inside-the-Park Homer (VIDEO)

Baseball Is Fun

If this happened in September … heck, if it happened in April, it would be one of the biggest highlights of the year.

As it stands, it’s Spring Training. Which is totally fun, but the thrill of a 9th inning, game-tying, inside-the-park home run just isn’t quite the same in early March, especially when you watch the ball ricochet off of one of those ad-packed outfield walls that just screams “Spring Training in Florida.”

But still. An inside-the-park homer to tie a game in the 9th inning is pretty cool:

Dilson Herrera pulled it off for the Mets there, tying the game (which ended tied, because, you know, Spring Training). He wasn’t even really booking it out of the gate, but the kick-job in left field gave him plenty of time to score once he really started chugging.
