When a player gets upset on the field, it isn’t all too uncommon for him to take out his frustration on someone or something in the dugout.

But the story below, takes this to entirely new, more hilarious depths.
Brian McRae – formerly of the Royals, Cubs, Mets, Rockies and Blue Jays – took a baseball bat to the toilet of the visitors dugout during his playing days … and the Mets were not too pleased. Here’s the letter they sent him, afterwards. (I like it. It’s short and sweet. Gets right to the point).

I’m not sure what I find funniest:
- That McRae smashed a toilet with a bat
- That he shared the story willingly, all these years later, or
- That the Mets actually charged someone $600
On number 3, I’m sure it’s perfectly common to charge an opposing player for anything they break (and it’s not like a toilet is just a bat rack or a water cooler), but it’s especially funny that it comes from the Mets.
Still, I think I’ll have to go with number 2. Number 2* is always funny.
