Presumably, the Los Angeles Dodgers signed Japanese starter Kenta Maeda this offseason for his arm.
But this doesn’t hurt:
The first #Dodgers home run of the season goes to….KENTA MAEDA. #WeLoveLAhttps://t.co/Bf7cR4ypJ7

That’s a serious 0-2 oopsie from Andrew Cashner, and Maeda crushed it. Amazing that it was the team’s first homer of the season, especially when you consider that they scored 18 runs in their first two games (those poor Padres).
And how about that reaction in the dugout:
Maeda now has more homers this season than Mike Trout, Miguel Cabrera, and Chris Davis* Jose Bautista combined.
*(Edited to reflect that Davis homered earlier tonight. Thanks for messing up my joke with your power, jerk.)
