Ah… the ceremonial first pitch. An honor and a tradition in the game of baseball, reserved for special guests, celebrities, professional athletes, politicians and other people that somehow continue to be not me.
Although, when I think about it, I’m not sure I’d be too interested in throwing the first pitch before an MLB game. I’ve seen it go wrong enough times to know that I’d just embarrass myself and end up becoming famous on YouTube (and then get invited to the Ellen Show and waIT A MINUTE I SHOULD TOTALLY DO THAT!!!!LOL!!!1!!!1).
But even if I didn’t embarrass myself, even if I threw a strike as hard as I could, right down the middle of the plate, there’s no way I could top Olympic Gold Medalist Yang Qianmei and what she did before the matchup of the Chinatrust Brothers and Lamigo Monkeys in the CPBL.
You’re welcome for one of the strangest and most impressive first pitches you’ll ever see (the pitch, itself, starts around the 2:50 mark):
Yeah … can I go first next time?
