Minor League Manager Loses It in Absolutely Delightful Fashion

I’m not sure how much run up you really need for this. Joe Mikulik, the manager of the Frisco Rough Riders, is a pretty excitable guy, and, well, after umpires enforced the newly implemented slide rules at second base, Mikulik got excited.

And it was one of the better ones, it includes multiple demonstrative slides into second base, base punting, helmet kicking, shirt untucking, rosin bag kicking, foul line messing and a whole lot of swearing.

There’s no way he didn’t immediately regret kicking the bag.

Every time I think he’s done, he just goes right back to work. There’s something especially funny about a manager freakout when the umpires remain stoic as they have here.
