I’ve heard the adage “Winners always want the ball,” but rarely does that apply to baseball. That said, Nolan Arenado is apparently a “winner,” because he stole a double play ball from teammate and rookie Trevor Story … and it’s pretty darn funny:
Story was already covering the bag and Mark Reynolds was clearly making the throw to him, but Arenado (the overly-shifted third baseman) comes out of nowhere at the last minute with the interception.
Hey, at least he made the play.
