Tuesday night at Dodger Stadium was “Japan Night,” a promotional day celebrating the culture of Japan, where the first 40,000 fans in attendance (how many were in attendance after that?!) received a Kenta Maeda bobble head.
Check it out:
Pretty solid bobblehead, right? It looks just like Maeda. Here’s a picture of the Dodgers pitcher for reference:

Except, as that caption suggests, that’s not Kenta Maeda … it’s a Kenta Maeda look-a-like! A fan showed up dressed like Maeda (on the perfect night), and did so well, he was invited onto the field and into the dugout. He even gets to do a special handshake with third baseman Justin Turner:

The team, including Maeda, obviously had a ton of fun with the fan, and he got a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Here’s more from the interactions, including a smiling Joc Pederson’s pure elation:

Now, that’s how you cosplay. I’m just glad there wasn’t an AH! An evil twin … which one do I kill?! moment.
