Giancarlo Stanton Unleashes 94 MPH Throw To Nail Crawford at the Plate

Baseball Is Fun

If Giancarlo Stanton is known for anything, it’s his unbelievable, genuinely unparalleled, and perhaps unprecedented raw power. And if you think that is an overstatement, take a look at the 504 foot bomb he unloaded just the other night – the longest recorded homer in Statcast history.

BUT, that’s not all he’s good at.

In fact, he’s a perfectly capable right fielder with, what turns out to be, a very impressive arm, as well. Just last night, for example, he threw Brandon Crawford (he of the record-matching 7-hit game) out at the plate with a 94 MPH strike, to keep the score tied at 0 in the top of the fourth inning:

Not only did Stanton throw it 94 MPH, he threw it nearly 200 feet right on the money. To be honest, the play wasn’t even close; Stanton had him by a mile.
