In the bottom of the second inning during yesterday’s matchup between the Red Sox and the Rays, Corey Dickerson hit a hard line drive foul and into the visitors bullpen. The ball managed to make it past the ball boy (who job it is to stop that from happening) and scattered the relievers (We know, Travis Wood, you wouldn’t have batted an eye).
Afterwords, the Rays’ relievers had some fun with the ball boy, taking his seat (and his job) while donning two gloves for extra protection in the process.

It’s all in good fun, but I’m guessing he’ll be making that play next time … or sacrificing his body to stop the ball.
