Dexter Fowler Was Having One of *Those* Days, Gets A Solo Rain Shower

Baseball Is Fun

You know when you’re just having one of those days?

First, you’re alarm doesn’t go off, so you have to skip your morning shower (because obviously you’re not skipping breakfast). Then, traffic is a nightmare on the way to work, and you spill coffee on yourself in the car. Before finally, you realize that today is actually Sunday, and you didn’t even have work in the first place?

I’m not even supposed to be here today!

Well, even professional baseball players know what that feels like. Yesterday, in the bottom of the second inning of the Cubs/Brewers series finale, center fielder Dexter Fowler drifted over to his left to make (what he thought was) a routine catch of a Hernan Perez fly ball. The universe, however, had different plans and provided Fowler with his own personal rain shower through the opening in the Brewers roof:

If I had to guess, Fowler stubbed his toe in the clubhouse, found his car ticketed in the parking lot, and was notified that he forgot to file his taxes last year. It just had to be one of those days.

Yep, that’s about right.
