There’s a fairly uncommon, but always entertaining tradition in baseball wherein one representative from each teams holds their “National Anthem” pose on the field for as long as they can, after the song has finished. You can never really know when or for how long one of these contests will occur, but if you’re lucky enough to catch one, you’ll usually get in a laugh or two.
Like yesterday, for example, when Manny Pina and Hernan Iribarren squared off toe-to-toe, from dugout-to-dugout, from Justin to Kelly, after the National Anthem ended – each with their own … style.
Before watching, do you think you know who’ll win?

That’s an American standoff and that was NOT the deal.
And Iribarren takes it home – even though Pina had a little help from his dugout. Although, to be fair, I’m pretty sure the umpire said something along the lines of, “Yeah … that’s enough already.” But hey, that’s part of the challenge, right?
