Although we usually like to have a lot of fun here at BIF, sometimes, more important things need to be addressed. Sometimes, those things might even be imperative to staying alive.
So here’s a pop-quiz: In the event of a Zombie Apocalypse, what is the one weapon all survivors should prioritize acquiring?
a) A sawed-off shotgun
b) An automatic rifle
c) Explosive
d) Baseball Bat
The answer, of course, is d) a baseball bat.
Although the impact of the other four weapons may be more devastating, each requires ammo and/or reloading which could quickly compromise your escape. A bat (especially one wrapped in barbed wire), on the other hand, is as trusty as it comes.
But the idea behind this post has more to do with baseball than just the connection to bats.

Lately, the TV show ‘The Walking Dead’ appears to be sending barbed-wire bats to famous Major Leaguers in Spring Training. Their preparedness is grade is an A+ (who better to wield one of these deadly weapons than some of the best sluggers in the world).

“Lucille” appears to be the name of the bat from the show. But Martinez isn’t the only one who got their very own “Lucille.”
