Andrew McCutchen Just Picked Up His First RF Assist, Nailing Sandy Leon at the Plate!

Baseball Is Fun

After a down 2016 season, Andrew McCutchen – one of baseballs finer gentleman – made the transition to right field in favor of the younger, defensively more capable Starling Marte, with pure grace and class:

And in just his second game, he’s showing that the move has already paid off.

With two outs in the bottom of the third inning and Sandy Leon on second base – or, what he thought was scoring position – Dustin Pedroia hit a sharp ground ball out to right field.

Enter, McCutchen:

Exit, Leon.

You know when announcers say, “Woah … he was out by a mile!!!”?

And as a fan of baseball, awesome plays at the plate, and Andrew Wutherford McCutchen (that’s probably not his middle name), I think this play is awesome.
