When Will They Learn? You ALWAYS Run it Out!

Baseball Is Fun

Besides, maybe, “Keep your eye on the ball,” and “Put two hands on the glove,” the first rule they teach you in Little League is to run out every single play.

But whhhhhyyyyyyyyy?

Well, because even at the Major League level, this can happen:

That’s Oakland A’s outfielder Khris Davis waddling around home plate after hitting a shallow pop-fly on the infield. Of course, if he would have even jogged to first base after hitting the ball in the air, he would’ve probably been safe, because Chase Headley dropped the ball (even though he was using two hands!).

Instead, it’s a free out for the competition. That’s at least a 10-second time out, right?
