How The Hell Does That Happen? Phillies Catcher Scores From First on Crazy Play, Silly Error
Yesterday, the Philadelphia Phillies catcher Andrew Knapp scored from first base on one of the more ridiculous, confusing, and hilarious plays of the season.
Take a look at what happened as Knapp takes his lead off first base, a bat goes flying into the stands, and Pirates’ catcher Elias Diaz gets a little too greedy …

Even the camera operators are confused at first, though I have to agree with the announcers in the following video. I think that was a good throw from Diaz, but first baseman Josh Bell just wasn’t paying enough attention.
