Yesterday, the Kansas City Roys beat the Texas Rangers by a final score of 4-3, and moved within 2.0 game of first place in the AL Central. But … with that said, yesterday’s victory was pretty darn lucky.
After all, Lorenzo Cain’s two-out, bottom-of-the-ninth, bases-loaded, walk-off single wasn’t much of a “single,” as it was a generous scoring call by the record keepers. Watch as Shin-Soo Choo battles with the sun, before ultimately allowing the game winning out to bounce off his glove and trickle away from him:

As you can see, glove does not equal ball, and, thus, the Royals win the game.
