Chicago Cubs second baseman Javy Baez is a defensive wizard who brings a tremendous amount of flair, exuberance, and flash to the game.
He also has an absolute hatred for tablets:
Baez would have had a tough time turning two in this situation with the runner digging hard down the first base line. Knowing that, Baez decided to take out his frustration on an innocent tablet in the Atlanta Braves dugout rather than make what would be a fruitless attempt at recording an out.
What? Did you have a better explanation for what happened there?
The normally sure-handed Baez simply let it fly and the result was the ball carrying, slicing a little more than he would have liked, and a scattered Braves dugout.
Hopefully, there wasn’t much damage done to the tablet because there might be an invoice in Mr. Baez’s locker today for repairs and a replacement.
