Orioles Minor Leaguer Leaps and Flips into the Stands to Make an Amazing Catch

Baseball Is Fun

While the following – and astonishing – leaping catch and subsequent flip over the left field foul wall may not surpass the overall impressiveness of Austin Jackson’s recent – and literal – catch of the year for the Red Sox last Tuesday (that one was a home run robbery … in the Major Leagues … at freakin’ Fenway Park) it was arguably just as difficult to pull off.

Watch as Iron Birds left fielder TJ Nichting leaps and flips over the left field wall, landing in the seats, to make an absolutely amazing and fearless catch:

Man, that looked painful, but fueled on adrenaline, Nichting immediately raises his glove in the air to show that he caught the ball and hops right back over that fence to run back in with it.

Absolutely brilliant play and a solid finish. 10/10.
