With the 2017 regular season in the books, players from 20 different teams will go home early and watch postseason baseball from their couches, as their colleagues try to stop the Cubs from repeating as World Series champs (I don’t know how many times to tell you, I’m an extremely biased Cubs fan).
But before we look ahead to October, MLB wants us to take one final look back on the best moments of the regular season.
Here’s what they came up with:
Looking back at the regular season that was.

First of all: Awesome.
There’s no question about any of those moments being among the best this season had to offer. But … they’re certainly missing some, right? The biased Cubs fan in me is shocked that there’s not a single Javy moment in there, though I suppose I wouldn’t even know which one to start with.
But from a broader perspective, how could this not make the cut?
AUSTIN JACKSON WHAT IN THE WORLD!

I genuinely think this was the best baseball catch I’ve ever seen (and believe that doubly so when you include the context of the game and the location).
Ultimately, I think Coghlan’s slide, Giancarlo Stanton’s chase for 60 HRs, and the Indians 22 consecutive wins deserve to be in there, and I would’ve definitely added Austin Jackson’s catch as my fourth. But I’m stuck on the fifth, so what do you think?
Was it one of the two they included in the video? Something else? Drop a line in the comments, let us know.
