Later today, we’ll get into all of the madness, insanity, and homers from the (basically) historic Game Five of the World Series – but before all of that, there’s one hilarious story we need to cover.
In the ninth inning of Game 5, Dodgers right fielder Yasiel Puig lifted a pivotal two-run home run to left field cutting the Astros lead to just one run (that lead would later evaporate on a Chris Taylor’s RBI single to center, sending the game into extras).
But, given that this game was in Houston, Puig’s home run ball found a patch of Astro fans (two brothers and their wives, to be exact), none of whom were particularly *happy* that they caught an enemy home run.
But before the crowd could even yell “PUUUUUUUUUUUiiig,” one of the fans reached over his brother, ripped the ball out of his SISTER-IN-LAW’s hand and returned it to the field!
Take a look:
Now … first of all LOL.
And second of all: While I may not be as perceptive as I think I am … I’m not so sure Sister-in-Law A is all too happy about that series of events. Not only did she not get to admire the baseball she just plucked from the sky in the World Freakin’ Series, she didn’t get to throw it back herself.
And all because this nut was too excited to get it back onto the field:
At least we all get the benefit of watching this slow-burning time-bomb from afar.
I wonder how the drive home was?
