“Ken, we need to talk!” he said. “Serious business!”
That’s what Astros superstar Carlos Correa said to The Athletic reporter Ken Rosenthal after their massive Game 5 win over the Dodgers in the World Series just a few days ago.
What followed, to the relief of Rosenthal, wasn’t an indictment of something Rosenthal had written or said on the air – instead, it was a plan to propose to his girlfriend on live TV if the Astros managed to win it all.
And in case you managed to miss it … the Astros won it all:
Win the World Series, get engaged.

So Correa proposed, his girlfriend fiancee ripped through the metal barriers, hugged him, and repeatedly screamed “Oh, my god!” before finally being re-prompted with an all too familiar, “So … yes?”
Congrats to Correa and his new fiancee Danielle Rodriguez on what was sure to be one of the most memorable nights of their lives.
