Since his Major League career began with the Dodgers back in 2011, Dee Gordon has played 1,320.2 innings at shortstop and another 4,462.2 innings at second base – in 2015, Gordon even won a gold glove for his efforts at second base.
So naturally, when the Marlins traded Gordon to the Seattle this offseason, the Mariners immediately placed him in … center field?
Yep, with Robinson Cano firmly entrenched at second base – and still rockin’, I might add – the Mariners are turning Gordon’s career on its head, and so far … he’s proving them right.

Looks like he’ll be just fine out there, after all.
