I have to admit, I’m a sucker for trick plays in any sport.
Fake-field goal pass? Yup, wanna see it. Behind-the-back-pass, but you pretend like you still have the ball? Give it to me. Hidden-ball trick? Oh, that’s an instant classic.
But this trick play, which effectively works like the hidden ball trick, but in reverse, is one of the best I’ve ever seen. Period.

Not only did the pitcher, shortstop, second baseman, and center fielder all have to be in on it and act convincingly, the pitcher still had a tough job tagging out the runner. In fact, he nearly biffed it, but made an excellent dive to save the play.
I’m not kidding when I say that might be the best trick play I’ve ever seen.
