I can’t remember the exact day “Baby Shark” got implanted in my head as my burden to remember (and sing, on occasion) for the rest of my breathing days, but it’s in there all right.
And I’m pretty sure it goes something like this:
♫ Baby shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo
Baby shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo
Baby shark, doo doo doo doo doo doo
Baby shark!
Mommy sha …♫
Indeed, the song is kind of like a zombie virus – anyone who hears it, is forced to sing it on a loop for eternity – unless, of course, they’re already under the curse of Hey Mickey, you’re so fine, you’re so fine you blow my mind, HEY MICKEY!
For example, some evil soul infected Chance the Rapper:

And now, the Texas’ Rangers own Elvis Andrus has apparently picked it as his WALK-UP MUSIC.
Like, for real:

Apparently, Elvis’ son, Elvis Jr., has a particular affinity for the song, and his dad is playing it just for him. It isn’t clear if he’ll take this with him through the regular season, but I suppose we’ll find out tomorrow when the Rangers and Cubs square off in Texas.
Separate, all of this Walk-up music talk got me thinking … what would your walk-up music be?
Let’s have some fun … if you were a baseball player, what would you walk up to? #MyWalkUpMusic would be …
