It might’ve been only the third inning in an April game when Byron Buxton started racing back towards the center field wall with no regards to his safety (or the wall’s) yesterday afternoon, but he sure wasn’t play like it. He was playing like a mad men with just one goal: getting leather on that baseball by any means necessary.
And that’s exactly what he did:

That looked like it hurt, but that’s also a big league play right there.
Buxton’s already got one Gold Glove to his name. And I won’t be surprised if the 25-year-old adds to his collection as soon as this year.
