I Think This Might Be the Best Shortstop Play I’ve Ever Seen

Baseball Is Fun

I don’t know how I managed to miss this play a couple days ago, but HOLY COW is it impressive.

Here’s Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford making a really good diving/sliding stop deep in the hole at short, before making an INCREDIBLE throw across his body as he dives and falls away from the first base bag:

Holy. Crap. Not only is the stop impressive and athleticism off the charts, but how about that throw!? It was across his body as he’s diving away from first, but it was also strong, accurate as heck, and, most importantly, in time.

That makes the Jeter jump-throw look like little league stuff!
