After Four Years as a Left-Handed Hitter in MLB, Ji-Man Choi Just Hit a Home Run as a Righty

Before today, 1B/DH Ji-Man Choi had stepped up to the plate over 800 times in his four-year, big league career, all of them as a lefty.

Today, he stood in the box as a righty … and hit a home run.

That homer was 109.9 MPH off the bat and traveled 429 feet! That is ridiculous. We’ve heard of hitters taking batting practice from the opposite side of the plate for fun, but it looks like Choi just decided to break it out in a real game on a whim. Insane.
