How About a Game-Tying, Inside-the-Park Homer in the 9th Inning?

Baseball Is Fun

The Red Sox and Rays are battling in the AL East and battling this week at Fenway Park, and today’s installment has been a particularly wild one. The Red Sox kicked things off with a 6-0 lead in the first inning, but the Rays drip-drip came back. There have been 20 runs and 32 hits (and counting), and they’ve now gone to extra innings because Austin Meadows hit a game-tying inside-the-park homer in the 9th inning!

I really love inside-the-park homers:

The Rays’ dugout reaction really sums things up. I can always watch a good inside-the-parker, and when it ties the game in the 9th, all the better.
