How Fast Do You Have to Be to Score on a Sac Fly FROM SECOND BASE?
There is Baseball Fast. There is Track Fast. And there is some combination of the two, which allows you to score from SECOND BASE when tagging up on a fly ball to center field. Super Duper Tag Up Fast?
Georgia Tech’s Chandler Simpson is apparently THAT level of fast. I love everything about this play, and I have watched it several times:

Simpson was clearly ready for the possibility of scoring from second on this deep fly ball, because he was taking an aggressive round at third even before the full commitment to going. Clearly his third base coach wasn’t giving him the stop sign.
So you couple that with the center fielder’s casual throw in to the cutoff man, and Simpson was ready to fly. The play at the plate kinda sort looked close, but he was going so quickly that to actually apply a tag would’ve taken quite a bit longer. In other words, I don’t think this was particularly close. On a tag up. From second base. At home. Yo.
