I know, I know … it’s not nice to laugh at other people getting hurt. But let’s be real, America’s Funniest Home Videos, Jackass, and YouTube exist(ed) for a reason. And that reason is, yeah, sometimes it is a little funny to laugh at the misfortune of others, especially when they’re okay afterwords.
So I hereby give you permission to crack up at Dodgers reporter David Vassegh’s ill-fated trip down Bernie the Brewers’ home run slide at American Family Field in Milwaukee. Make sure you watch until the end.
The “Hi Guys!” absolutely kills me. It’s like a 3rd graded showing off his chipped tooth after running into a pole or something. He’s almost proud of it. I’m seriously in tears.
“Hi guys, I do my own stunts, Tom Cruise style,” he said afterwords.
Apparently, Vassegh has two fractures in his right hand/wrist and six fractured ribs. Which … my god that is a lot of damage for the slide. I guess Bernie has a little extra padding on him, eh? “Skinny fat body can’t handle it,” Vassegh added.
And because you’ve been good, here’s another angle to enjoy (the second video):
UPDATE: And I just saw this.
