Sometimes Baseballs Get Stuck in Some Really Weird Places

Baseball Is Fun

You’ve heard of a double off the wall. But have you ever heard of a double “into” the wall?

Yesterday, the top Blue Jays prospect, Gabriel Moreno, ripped a 111 MPH liner into the outfield wall, which is about as impressive as Benny “The Jet” Rodriguez ripping the seams off a baseball.

I mean, what? This is freakin’ AWESOME and something I’d be bragging about for the rest of my life.

But that wasn’t the only weird stuck baseball yesterday.

Clippers prospect Ernie Clement (what a great baseball name) swung as hard as he could, made contact, and the ball traveled all of … 10 inches? I’ve never seen anything like this.

That’s gotta be one of the shortest traveled fair balls ever.

The grounds crew probably owes him a beer.
