Bryce Harper Will Literally Give You the Shoe Off His Foot

You know the old saying about giving someone the shirt off your back? Well, there is a little known corollary about giving someone at least one of the shoes off of your feet … if you’re a superstar baseball player, and an awesome dude at that.

Enter Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper, who apparently LITERALLY gave a fan the shoe off his foot, after signing it, and proceeded to walk through the Phoenix airport with only one shoe on:

Bryce Harper didn’t have a Sharpie to sign a fan’s hat so he took a pen, signed his shoe, and gave it to the fan.

That’s one way to report to Spring Training. It’s not quite a Shoeless Joe Jackson situation, but can we call him One Shoe Harper?

Harper, who is recovering from Tommy John surgery, won’t be ready to go until sometime into the season, but I’m thinking he’s going to be ready for the fans on day one. The guy is beloved for a reason.
