The question is whether Peralta even NEEDED a pitch clock there. I suppose in a world where there wasn’t a pitch clock, Marcano could’ve stepped out for a breather. Then again, you DO get one timeout per plate appearance, so I’m thinking Marcano probably should’ve gone ahead and taken his.
